A Project Plan will help your team get organized and develop a realistic approach and schedule for completing an acquisition. It follows the Seven Step Service Acquisition Process and contains detailed sub-steps that describe tasks that should be accomplished. A Project Plan also includes a resource management component to identify who you need and when you will need them.
The Project Plan uses a method of planning call RACI that designates who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed about each task by assigning people (by name) for each of these categories.
